William Booth I & II Double Bass

This handsome double bass was made by William Booth I & II in Leeds, England around 1845. The style of their making, like other Northern English makers at this time, was to copy the double basses made in London before the arrival of Dragonetti. This instrument is offered in near-perfect condition, having had a full restoration in our workshop in which we took care to make this big double bass very easy to play. This is an ideal orchestral partner for anyone wanting a huge sound and easy playability.
