This beautiful Cremonese double bass was made by Pier Luigi Galetti in 1987. Pier Luigi was an instructor at the famous International School of Violin Making in Cremona, Italy, and as one might expect, the quality of his work is excellent. For this double bass model, the influence of Stradivari in the soundholes and the beautifully carved head is evident. This is a well-sized double bass for solo playing and chamber music, with its excellent focused sound and surprising volume making it desirable for any player.
